YOU ARE INVITED

To Out There Singing VOICE PROGRAM

2025 has been a year of deep authenticity, connection, and creative expansion for Out There Singing. Our Toronto voice studio has grown into a home for queer, trans, and neurodivergent artists, supporting singers and performers who are now appearing on stages, film sets, and drag shows across the city and beyond.

Based in the heart of Toronto’s Gay Village, we strengthened our work in gender-affirming voice training, launched new community workshops, and expanded the Drag Out Your Voice program—building a space where technique, identity, and artistic freedom come together.

As we move into 2026, I’m thrilled to invite you into the next chapter.

The mission: Authenticity and Connection. I want you grounded in solid technique, rooted in self-exploration, and empowered to get Out There Singing.

JOHN MUIRHEAD

"I play a lot of gigs as a singer/songwriter, and I've noticed that I can now sing for longer without fatigue, have a larger range, better intonation, and get way more compliments on my voice than ever before"

Hi, I'm Ocean

your friendly Toronto Voice Coach, Singer, & Certified Life Coach.

After 31 years of life, and 20+ years in entertainment, I'm still an awkward queer kid from the prairies.

I spent years fitting into boxes: Opera, Musical Theatre, "playing straight.”

But I once wore my grandma's Tiffany Blue nightgown and danced to ABBA.

You are the dancing queen. Young and sweet.

People don't talk about the inner work required to stand in front of a room full of strangers and bear your soul. We set expectations on ourselves and other performers to get out of our heads and "just jump," Pretty ironic, when the same voice also tells us to "keep it down."

Take it from me: I sang on international stages, in musicals such as A Little Night Music, Spring Awakening, & Next to Normal. Inevitably, I crashed from over-exhaustion and took years away from performing to focus on my mental health.

Now my life is full of expression through art. I run a Film production company where I've created, written, and performed in QUEER work with folks from Schitt's Creek, Kim's Convenience, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Finally,
I began Out There Singing, with clients who captivate the hearts of hundreds of thousands of viewers with beautiful, authentic music. We offer singing lessons in-person in Toronto & Worldwide through video call.
